Because of you we now have to wait another week and hope nothing big happens in the celeb gossip world. So help them if Lindsay Lohan gets sent to jail on Wednesday because that will for sure be next week's cover. Anymore set backs and we will just get first baby pictures.

I mean why are they trying so hard for the money? We all know she has really done well for herself since the whole singing career didn't work out. Shoes, clothing, etc. She is making pretty good bank and hey her shoes are comfy.

Tennis

I am starting tennis lessons on Wednesday and am pretty pumped up about it. My friend MT and I had been playing tennis a bit and I realized I didn't retain any of the knowledge from my 4th grade tennis lessons. Almost as important as the racket and the form is the outfit. Lots of tennis outfits are white, but is it ok to wear them after labor day or does that not apply to tennis outfits. I don't want to make a fashion faux pas on my first day because it will set the stage for all lessons to come.

I am excited about my future career because of the cute new outfits out there. Just what I need a hobby that involves shopping for clothes. So what's the word. Is it ok to wear white for tennis after labor day?

Black on black

I saw this manicure on a blog and couldn't help but love it. I have not been a fan of the french manicure for a long time but this is like a new updated version. It's the same color on top of each other but one is matte and the other shiny. I have the matte OPI Lincoln Park After Dark and the regular and just might have to get this next time I get my nails did.

Lipstick Primer

A week or so ago I was reading my friend Jenn's blog. She mentioned using lipstick primer. I have never used lipstick primer but immediately gathered it was something I needed. My love of a bright lip mean that I am constantly reapplying color to keep it on. I didn't have time to hit up MAC to try her fave brand but I was close to a Sephora so I purchased Too Faced brand's lip primer. So far I am a big fan of it and I wore it to her wedding and felt like I didn't have to reapply my lipstick as much as I have in the past. If you are a bright lipstick wearer I highly recommend it.

Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner and pressure was high for me to top last year's Banana costume. I won sexist costume which was a givenwith yellow face paint. I have thought long and hard aboutwhat I was going to dress up as and came across something grand. Something that wouldrequire face paint again. Ladies and gents, this year I am going to be (drum roll please) a LittleTrees Car Air Freshener. I am hoping to win sexist costume again and think the green face paint might be just what I need to make it happen. Wish me luck!

Tucker Max

One of the most offensive/hilarious people to ever write a book is Tucker

I read his first book, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, a few years ago when it came out and was gifting it to JGA. I highlighted the parts I found to be most hilarious and made some comments. I think it really added to the story value and those additions showed that I cared or at least that is the story I am sticking too. I was at the library last week picking up some books and looked in the new section to see what they were offering. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out he had written a second book, Assholes Finish First. I think the titles give a good idea of what you are in for. They are all just stories of the ladies he has hooked up with. He is one of the rudest dudes out there but his stories seem to indicate that this is what the girls like.

So far, it's exactly the mindless lunch time reading I have been looking for. Granted, I read it in the privacy of the conference room because I don't want people to know I am reading it. I did have it out earlier today at work and some guy commented nice book. God I hope he doesn't know my name and that I work in HR.

The real icing on the cake was when I flipped to the biography bar on the back cover of the book. Y'all Tucker Max resides in Austin. How was I not part of the welcome wagon when he moved to town?? I have no desire to befriend him or stalk him but I will now be on high alert for Tucker Max sightings in Austin.

Please don't think worst of me liking his books. I feel like it might make me a bad female for laughing at them but I really can't help it!

A special lunch guest

I had lunch with my friend AH last week. I was excited to seeher because my wedding life meant we hadn't seen each other in person for like 3 weeks,which is a long time for people who normally see each other pretty much every week. Now AH is the owner of my #1 babyfriend, Avery. How thrilled was I when she said Avery would be joining us for lunch! Her lovelyhubby DH took this picture of us and I think it's pretty clear how excited I was and how indifferent Avery was.

Monogram Pillow

I ran across these pillows

on another blog today. I love them and need them for my apartment. I have been wanting new throw pillows for my couch and bed and think these would be perfect for my bed. I want a "T" and an "H". I think the grey or the purple edge would be good for the bed. My comforter is such a busy print that these calmer pillow would be ideal.

Anyone seen any good throw pillows for the couch?

Wildfires

For the .5% of my readers that aren't from Austin or Texas, about 2 monthsish ago we had

terrible wildfires in Bastrop, which is like 20 or so miles from Austin. As I drove to Houston

on 71 last weekend I saw all of the burned trees and it was so sad to see all of the damage.

Last night in Austin they had a Wildfire Relief Concert. Now I didn't go but was just looking

thru pictures and saw that the Dixie Chicks preformed. Had I been made privy to this little

factoid I would have perhaps ponied up the cash to attend.

Say what you will about the Dixie Chicks, or mainly Natalie Maines and her views. Views

aside, this group makes some solid music. Their last album was fan freakingtastic.

I will just continue to listen to their old stuff until they put out a new album, which I have been told will be awhile. Come on Dixie Chicks, put an album out for me. You have at least one person that will buy it!

A crazy person

One of my favorite tv shows on MTV is I Used To Be Fat. I have quit the others I used to watch, sorry Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, and Jersey Shore I'm over you! I was thrilled when one of the craziest trainers from last season reappeared, and in the first episode no less. Folks, meet Joey.

He is cuckoo cuckoo for coco puffs. I mean these pictures don't even begin to do it justice. He seems to motive his peoples which is key but I find 85% of the stuff he says to be crazy. Hegave the dude this week a spirit warrior name. I mean really???

New Fall Favorite Show

My funny factor is a little bit low while sick so I thought I would take this opportunity to speak out about one of new fall favorite shows, Hart of Dixie. Yes, it's on the CW, and yes I am older than their target age audience but it is so good and whodoesn't like Rachel Bilson. She is wonderful in this so please tune in so this show stays on the air!

Black Lung

Back from CAP, now CAG or CPG depending on what she decides to do with her initials, wedding. I was sick most of the time and am still sick. That didn't distract from what an amazing wedding and weekend it was. She looked amazing and more pictures to come..

Thankful Thursdays

Today I leave for Tenn. for my BFF's wedding!! So thankful she and Mr. G have found each other!!

Best thing ever

My friend EF told me to take these the other day when I was getting sick. I had never taken Alka-Seltzer before but I really think this is leading me back on the road to health so I am recommending them to all. I love that I have my daytime option and then the night option too. Between this and my steady intake of Dayquil and Nyquil I should be on the road to recovery very soon!
