I saw a woman wearing these shoes today. 
First I might establish that I had no clue these shoes were even still made. Second, I had these shoes in the 4th grade and they were the most awesome shoes and all the cool kids like me were wearing them. Today, in the year 2010, I would not be caught dead in them. I should also mention I know it was the double Velcro style because her jeans were so short I could see both lines of Velcro. Bless her heart.
