I did the unthinkable!!!

I am a bit embarassed to admit this, but here goes, I bought a Kardashian product. I know, judge away. Yesterday I was picking up a prescription at the good ole CVS and had some time to kill. I think I have mentioned before my love of lipstick, lip gloss, lip products. Whislt wondering CVS I came across the Khroma Beauty Joystick. Pretty much a lipstick pencil type product. I have been loving bright lip colors the past few seasons and I can admit I don't really feel done without a color lip. Case in point, no one is really working this week because of spring break so the office is dead. I am wearing workout pants, running shoes, a sweatshirt, and a bright pink lip. The lip color brought to you by the Kardashians.

I got the shocking pink color and love it so far. I got a compliment wearing it last night to watch the Bachelor too. So if you are on the market for a new bright lip color, go check it out. Maybe this will be the lone good thing that comes out of the Kardashians!

I'm baaaaaacccccckkkkkkk

Please read that title in the creepy Chucky voice.

Yes, after many months of no blogging, I am back. Today! We will see how much blogging we get out of me but take what you can get. Now that I have a job where I actually have work to do there is far less time to write blogs.

I have been doing some online dating so look for a few blogs on that and what an experience it is. For today just a taste of some real life nautical style. If you follow me on instagram (tay2729) then this picture is a repeat. Sorry it might take me a bit to get back into the blogging groove!

KS does it again

Dear Kate Spade-
Thank you for making the perfect 30th/NYE dress for me. No thanks for pricing it at $428. I will now need it to go on sale at least twice before the holidays to make it mine. If that can happen then all will be right in the world.

xoxo,

Book 70

Lately I have been slacking on my blogging and my reading. Lot's of life changes are coming my way like a move to Houston at the end of the month and starting my new, what I think is my dream job, there. I am super excited and all the interviewing etc has caused me to neglect the blog and I haven't been reading as much.

I finished my 70th book yesterday and I just torn thru it. It was The Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. It's set in the early 1900's and a man puts an ad in the newspaper for a wife. It was a good light right and I kept turning the pages wanting to know what was going to happen. It didn't disappoint which I was happy about. I highly recommend it.

I also recently read Andy Cohen's book, Most Talkative. If you love Watch What Happens Live and most of Bravo's programming and think Andy Cohen is the man, then you will probably love this book. Another plus of it was all the great old school pictures.

I heart Zara

Earlier this summer I popped into Zara to see what they had. Some of it is not my taste and a bit out there but I liked enough stuff to add it to my list of places I swing by. I found these great linen shirts and at $19.90 each they are a steal. They are so freaking cute and comfortable. I highly recommend them. I was reminded about this again this week when my friend LG mentioned she had gone in and purchased one and that they had a 3/4 sleeve one too. 2 thumbs up for sure.

Also, I got a bit wild and crazy and picked up these flats. A pretty different departure for my normal classic and pretty style but I paired them last night with skinny jeans and a striped shirt. I was rather pleased with the look!

Didn't see these in the store but saw them online and am also swooning over them. I love an animal print.

In news that warms my heart and has no bearing on my life

I saw that Bill and Giuliana Rancic's surrogate had their son. When I read the article on both People and US Weekly, I got chills. Like happiness chills. Do I know either of these people? Nope, but they seem like really nice people who really wanted to have a baby. They will now be roadtripping it with the bambino from Denver to Chicago. Best of luck on a long drive. I am sure both of them read of blog religiously, so congrats you two!

File this under things you didn't know you needed

I bought this because two of my most culinary friends had one. It seemed silly but dang if it doesn't serve a purpose and look cute. If you need someone to core your strawberries, I'm your girl!
