Halloween

Decisions have been made and this is what I am going to be for Halloween! Awesomeness in the future my friends!

Things I Saw at Work Today

1) A white suit. I was willing to let this slide because it is Austin and I think you can wear white through September within reason. A white suit is a little over kill. Even more overkill, it was linen.
2) We have a lot of walkers at work. For those who aren't familiar, these are the people that walk through the hallways in packs for fitness. They do it during their break, usually take up the whole hallway and then look annoyed when you, walking by yourself, make them get out of your way. Those are just details though. This walker I saw today had a first. Wrist weights. She must be pretty serious. From far away I thought they were really big matching bracelets to which I thought, that looks dorky but realizing they are wrist weights, I was a little more okay with it.

Way to my Heart

The way to my heart it with flowers. I simply love flowers. Tulips are my favorite but I have a new flower I have been loving the looks of, the Pom Pom Dahlia. If you ever want to get me to love you forever or forgive you for some horrible crime, flowers will do the trick. Just please no roses, they are not my favorite.

Reebok

Today on gilt they had reebok pumps on there. I had completely forgotten about these shoes until I saw them this morning. I guess they are not as popular as they once were if they are on gilt.

Gossip Girl is back

And it started off with a bang last night!! I am happy the show seemed to be back to it's normal shenanigans and that JH and I have something to text about. Is the new girl who was on the new Melrose Place that failed on now on GG, going to actually be Gossip Girl or is she some crazy stalker girl. Georgina Sparks is a crazy person and why Dan signed the birth certificate is beyond me. Gossip Girl, it's good for you to be back!

Things I have learned from reading decorating blogs

If there is one thing I have learned from reading decorating blogs it is that there are lots of very handy people out there and sadly I am not one of them. I just read a blog entry about someone making their own bed. There were lots of pictures and what looked like many steps and I must say I was beyond impressed because I can't do any of that crazy stuff..maybe one day. The only project I see in my near future is spray painting some frames and that came from SB and WB who told me next time I visit them in SA I should bring something to spray paint. Baby steps.

Bananarchy

Bananarchy might be one of the best ideas ever. They are frozen banana's that are dipped in chocolate and toppings. It is like Arrested Development came to life here in Austin. It is quite possibly one of the most delicious treats and since there is fruit involved you don't feel as bad about it. My favorite is the Milli Vanilli. See below It is dipped in chocolate and vanilla and then I get crushed m&m's on top. Pretty much like heaven in your mouth. A couple months ago I did a girls weekend with CC and KD and I tried my hand at my own frozen bananas and they were met with nothing but love and kind words. Below is my set up to make the banana magic happen. It involves a homemade double boiler which made me feel like a real chef! The 3 topics I offered were Oreos, M&M's and Reese's Pieces. Yes my friends, they were a hit. It may be my new party trick so if you see me making these at a party, try to act all impressed like.

Yesterday was the best day ever!

Yesterday my BFF got engaged and I could not have been happier. We had been patiently waiting for it to happen and now all the fun stuff can get started. Out gchats about dresses and wedding stuff won't be just for fun anymore. I bought a new Martha Stewart wedding magazine at the grocery store last night in her honor. CP, soon to be CG, I couldn't be more happy or excited for y'all. KG is a lucky man!!

The Height of Fashion

I saw a woman wearing these shoes today. First I might establish that I had no clue these shoes were even still made. Second, I had these shoes in the 4th grade and they were the most awesome shoes and all the cool kids like me were wearing them. Today, in the year 2010, I would not be caught dead in them. I should also mention I know it was the double Velcro style because her jeans were so short I could see both lines of Velcro. Bless her heart.

Welcome back Nelly. I have been missing you and was thrilled to hear you were returning with some new jams! When the then IT, now IC, went to St. Louis we listened to nothing but your hits as we entered the city!

Chest Hair

This is going to be a random one but I feel like it is a pretty funny topic esp. given my thoughts on it. A man's chest hair. This is something that does not bother me and is actually something I prefer. I am not saying I want a grizzly of a man but I think there is something very nice and dare I say sexy about chest hair on a man. You know they are a man, man. I don't want one of those guys who is shaving his chest. Sorry you are not for me. Especially when that hair starts to grow back and there is stubble. No thank you! I can't touch on this topic without sharing a story from about 6 or so years ago. The BFF CP was living in Austin for the summer, we were still in college and I was in Houston for the summer and she was working in Austin as an intern for Texas Monthly. So I came up to see CP and paint the town red and man did we. We went to some bars and were served heavily. We ended up at a bar that's name escapes me and I am sure has been renamed since. There at that bar I fell in love...well for an evening. I can't tell you his name I can only tell you that CP put up with me and was there to witness the wonderfulness that I was. Anyway, I am falling in love with my unnamed gentleman and as the drinks continued my actions, well I could not be held responsible for them. The only thing that really stood out in our minds as we look back on this evening was me, twirling the love of my life for the evening's chest hair. Yes this happened in public and I am here owning up to it publicly. I twirled chest hair in public. CP loves to remember this story and what a team player she was and how she had late night with the cab driver, a whole different story. Maybe my love for chest started then or maybe this was just the moment I went public with it and realized I was not opposed to some chest hair. How am I still single you may ask? Well it is the same question I ask myself every night as well! And yes, Chuck Bass just exudes sexiness!
